unboxed: open up about mental health
Unboxed is a university-wide student mental health wellness initiative
Mental health issues plague a large portion of college students and pose threats to student success and wellness. This collaborative university campaign played a key role in moving the needle on student’s awareness, understanding, and use of university mental health resources.
The campaign was extensive and utilized many tactics and platforms to reach and engage students across all nine Indiana University campuses. Resources were shared throughout the university through a comprehensive toolkit that allowed campuses and schools to market the information to their unique student population.
Campaign efforts resulted in an 841% increase in new users for the student mental health website and 81% of students said they felt IU’s services helped them and they would recommend them to other students.
